Rachel Holmes
Consultant
Rachel supports the firm in the Charity & Community area by briefing the advisers on legal and regulatory changes, enabling them to provide clients with advice based on the latest developments. She also writes articles for the firm's charity and not-for-profit clients.
Rachel has specialised in charity, social enterprise and not-for profit law since 2000, starting her professional life as a client advisor before deciding to move to a research and knowledge role. She enjoys using her technical expertise to help clients and colleagues navigate the changes in the legal and regulatory world they inhabit.
Creating an environment in which not-for-profit organisations can flourish is important to Rachel. She is proud to have had the opportunity to help shape that environment by serving on the CIC Regulator's Technical Panel and on the Executive Committee member of the Charity Law Association. In the latter role, she led working parties, assisted the Law Commission and gave evidence to a House of Lords Committee. She still contributes to Charity Law Association Working Parties as a member.
