Ben is a specialist commercial litigator. He advises a variety of clients from private businesses and subsidiaries of public companies to sports organisations. Ben advises both claimants and defendants on all aspects of commercial litigation and dispute resolution.
Ben combines a determined calm demeanour with a pragmatic and robust approach to all his work.
Ben recognises that each dispute requires a unique approach and he enjoys the challenge of providing advice to fit the situation or needs of the client. He is able to adapt his approach to each situation, whether it requires assertiveness or a pragmatic, conciliatory approach.
Ben has advised on complex commercial contract disputes, shareholder disputes, high value debt recovery, enforcement of foreign judgments and awards, and restrictive covenant/licence disputes. Recently, he helped a high profile sports organisation achieve a long term Licence Agreement after years of disputes and uncertainty. This result avoided a lengthy and expensive litigation for the client.
Ben's clients include The European PGA Tour, the Kennel Club Limited and high profile individuals and businesses (of varying sizes).
Ben takes pleasure in building long-term relationships. Clients and colleagues appreciate his dedication, tenacity and clarity, even when faced with the most complex of situations. He sets very high standards of himself and is not satisfied until he has achieved the best possible outcome for his clients.
