Kate has specialist experience advising clients on the financing, sale, acquisition and development of both commercial and residential property. Her particular focus is on commercial investment and property finance, areas in which she provides a high level of client service combined with commercial and pragmatic advice to her clients.

Kate started her career in the commercial property department of a magic circle law firm where she worked for 12 years before joining the Property team at Farrers in 2014.

Kate has experience of acting for investment banks, private banks, specialist real estate lenders, borrowers and investors on transactions involving security over different types of commercial and residential property, ranging from development sites, office blocks and shopping centres to high value residential property and large country estates. She also works on pure property sales and acquisitions for a wide range of investors and occupiers as well as lettings for both landlords and tenants.  

Kate ensures she takes a  pro-active approach to advising her clients, providing a commercial and practical point of view which clients appreciate.

Kate qualified as a solicitor in 2005.

  • Advising an investment bank on the refinancing of a large office scheme in Manchester
  • Acting for a private bank on the acquisition funding of a large portfolio of nursing homes
  • Advising a property investment business on the sale of a portfolio of real estate assets worth in excess of £300m
  • Acting for an overseas investor on the acquisition of an Isle of Man SPV which owned a prime residential property in London.
